Data Ownership & Privacy Policy

Kauspex collects only the information necessary to operate the platform and deliver the services you sign up for. This includes:

• Account information: name, email address, and password credentials managed by our authentication provider.
• Billing information: when you subscribe, your name, billing address, and payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. Kauspex never sees or stores full card numbers.
• Telemetry and performance data you upload: lap files, session notes, setup sheets, vehicle and driver information, weather data, and track markers.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, IP address, browser and device information — used for security, debugging, and product improvement.
• Cookies and similar technologies: strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

All telemetry files, setup information, session notes, driver information, vehicle information, reports, and performance data uploaded to Kauspex remain the property of the user who uploaded them.

• Kauspex does not claim ownership of your data.
• You retain full ownership and control of all information uploaded to the platform.

Kauspex does not sell your personal information. We share data only with the limited set of service providers (sub-processors) required to operate the platform, and only the data each provider needs to perform its function. Disclosure occurs over encrypted (TLS 1.2+) connections via each provider's API or hosted infrastructure:

• Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) — stores account credentials, profile, and uploaded telemetry on our behalf.
• Stripe (payments) — processes subscription payments; receives billing details and payment card information directly from your browser.
• Cloudflare (hosting and CDN) — serves the application; processes request metadata and IP addresses.
• Open-Meteo (weather data) — receives anonymous track coordinates and dates to return historical weather; no personal data is sent.
• Email delivery providers — receive your email address to send transactional emails (sign-in, billing receipts, account notices).
• Legal authorities — where required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Kauspex, our users, or the public.

We do not disclose your telemetry, setup data, or performance reports to other Kauspex users, teams, manufacturers, sponsors, or advertisers.

Kauspex uses your data solely for the purpose of providing you with:

• Telemetry analysis
• Performance insights
• Engineering recommendations
• Driver development insights
• Setup evaluation tools
• Report generation
• Track and session visualisations

Your data is processed only to provide services to your account.

Kauspex does not share your telemetry, setup information, driver performance metrics, engineering data, or reports with:

• Other users
• Other teams
• Competitors
• Manufacturers
• Coaches
• Sponsors
• Third parties

Your data is private to your account. Other users cannot view, access, search, analyse, or download your data.

Kauspex does not compare your telemetry or setup data against other users' telemetry or setup data. Kauspex will never use your private data to provide competitive insights to another user.

• Another driver cannot see your setup.
• Another team cannot see your telemetry.
• Another user cannot access your reports.
• Another user cannot benefit from your engineering decisions.

Kauspex does not use customer telemetry, setup data, driver performance data, or reports to train artificial intelligence models for use by other customers.

• Your data is processed only to generate insights for your account.
• Your data is not used to improve reports for other users.

Kauspex is designed so that user data is not visible to other users. The interpreted insights, reports, and analysis presented within the Kauspex application are not visible to Kauspex staff.

• In very limited circumstances, raw database records may be accessed by senior platform personnel for technical support, platform issue investigation, or legal compliance.
• Kauspex administrators do not routinely access customer telemetry or performance data.
• Where practical, access will only occur with the user's knowledge and consent.

Kauspex uses industry-standard security measures to protect user data. These measures include:

• Secure authentication
• Encrypted data transmission
• Database access controls
• User-level permissions
• Role-based security policies

Kauspex continually reviews security controls to protect customer information.

Users may export or download their own data where functionality is provided within the platform.

• Users retain the right to access their own information.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated data.

• Where deletion is requested, Kauspex will permanently remove user data from active systems, subject to any legal or regulatory obligations.
